What is Ascendry?
Ascendry turns your raid combat logs into habit-level coaching: per-player grades, a guild report card, death reports, gear & BiS, and how everyone is trending raid over raid. It's built for Classic / TBC.
Do I need a Warcraft Logs account?
No. You upload the raw combat log WoW writes for you (WoWCombatLog-*.txt). Ascendry reads it directly — including every equipped item, which the Warcraft Logs Classic API doesn't expose. The capture guide walks through getting the file.
How is this different from Warcraft Logs?
Warcraft Logs is unmatched for world rankings and picking apart a single pull. Ascendry answers a different question — is your guild getting better? — by measuring each player against their own past, raid over raid. They complement each other; here's the full comparison.
Which game versions are supported?
Classic / TBC (Anniversary realms). Upload a raw combat log from World of Warcraft/_classic_/Logs.
How do I get my combat log?
Enable Advanced Combat Logging, type /combatlog, raid, then upload the file. Step-by-step in the guides.
Is my data private?
Your logs live in your workspace and are visible only to the members you invite — Ascendry doesn't publish your raids to a public leaderboard. The file is compressed in your browser on the way up, and everything derived from it stays scoped to your workspace.
How are grades calculated?
A transparent, spec-aware score from 0–100 shown as a letter, with a death budget scaled to the raid and penalties that taper so a pile of small issues never auto-fails you. The full breakdown is on the methodology page.
Why don't you show world-parse percentiles?
A percentile ranks you against the world's best of your spec — great for bragging, weak for coaching, and biased toward the meta specs. Ascendry measures you against your own history, which is fair to every spec and points at what to actually work on.
Can I see gear and BiS?
Yes. Because you upload the raw log, Ascendry reads every equipped item (with enchants and gems), grades your gear, suggests upgrades with a loot advisor, and checks against a stat-weighted best-in-slot. This is upload-only — the Warcraft Logs Classic API can't provide per-item gear.
Can I query my data with AI?
Yes. Every workspace can mint an API token (Workspace → API access) that powers a read API and an MCP server, so you can ask questions about your guild's data in natural language from Claude Desktop or your own agent. See the AI guide.
How much does it cost?
Free is genuinely useful — unlimited uploads, your full roster, and season-level stats kept forever; the only limits are a 60-day window on per-fight detail and 1 guild / 1 raid group.

How do I see “my” character?
Claim your in-game name(s) on the Characters page. Your player profile then shows your gear, per-slot BiS, and self-vs-self per boss.
